Meet Genda — the creative soul and visionary designer behind Finest Designs. With over 25 years in retail, including her years at the beloved McAlpin’s department store, Genda has always had an incredible eye for detail, beauty, and presentation. From coordinating iconic Moonlight Specials and floor sets to fashion shows and in-store events, her creativity and passion for design have always shined.
After retail, she channeled her love for creating into her own award-winning specialty gift basket business, known for its thoughtful touches and elegant presentation. Today, Genda continues to bring her artistic flair to life through custom decorating for corporate holiday events, weddings, proms, and one-of-a-kind home designs.
Her ability to see potential in every space and her dedication to every last detail make her designs not only beautiful — but unforgettable. Hi, I’m Shanna, the creative heart and organizational brain behind Finest Designs. My background is rooted in customer service and sales — I’ve spent my life connecting with people, understanding their needs, and bringing their visions to life.
From managing retail stores to owning a cozy coffee shop, leading a real estate business with a staging certification, and now launching our design business — I’ve always been drawn to making spaces, homes, and events feel beautiful, welcoming, and full of life.
I’m passionate about helping people and take great pride in every detail, whether it’s transforming a front porch, curating a home for sale, or styling an event that tells a story.
